I finally got my tablet in the mail today. I have been trying it out, and boy does it take some getting used to! I'm still not entirely sure how to make it so when I feather my pen over the active area that it makes a lighter stroke. And I am confused on the brushes. The photoshop that came with the Bamboo tablet is different than what I normally use. My first attempt to color was just to take a random picture and color over it, shading and the like. It will take a long time for be to be as good as some of the Deviants that I watch. I just don't get how they do it!
All tips would be appreciated.
My goal is to draw as I normally do with pencil and paper, scan it, and then color it in photoshop.

Can someone tell me simply, how to make a layer over my original drawing that when I choose not to see the original, but the top layer, it isn't in gray and white blocks? Thank you!
